Global Mobility friends: Join us to discuss partner support

Global MobilityAn assignee's spouse or partner's well-being can significantly affect the outcome of an assignment and if not properly supported, can pose significant risk to a company's investment in their employee.  Yet partner support is often overlooked in global mobility packages.

That's why we're thrilled to be asked to join a panel of global mobility and accompanying partner support experts  at a meeting where the topic is exclusively accompanying partner support.  "Plus One - Accompanying Partner Support" is the topic of  the TASIS England and FIGT UK Networking event on January 31st in Thorpe, Surrey and I'll be there, joining panelists from Families In Global Transition UK, The Permits Foundation and the International Dual Career Network.

It promises to be a lively and thought provoking conversation. Wendy Wilson of FIGT UK will give an overview of how work and global mobility are changing; Siobhan Cummins of  the Permits Foundation will talk about legislative changes that affect the ability of accompanying partners to work; Sue Pagliuca of Ernst & Young  will discuss a collaborative corporate approach to partner careers in the context of the International Dual Career Network and I'll be discussing the issues that affect partners who can't or don't want to work.  There will be an opportunity for participants to offer their opinions and ask questions of the panel and lots of opportunities for networking.

If you're based in the South East of England and you're wrestling with the topic of accompanying partner support click here to register.  Look forward to seeing you there.
